Antoinette Smith was born in San Francisco
California. She was adopted and raised in
Atlanta Georgia. While growing up, she was
destined to find her real parents. She met her biological mother
when she was 18. She met her biological father
when she was 28 years old. Later on
in her life, she also found her other biological siblings.
She has three brothers who knew nothing about
their real mother. She has
had a lot of pain in the past and she writes
constantly to let it all out. She also has five
precious kids who are known as the five lights
of her life - Shawntranette, Anquanette, Clyde,
Atiba, and Khalil.
She’s been
writing poetry since she was
seventeen. Her debut novel, Daddy's Favorite
Pop, was inspired by the real life fact that
her biological father is also her biological
mother's step father. With an adequate blend of
fiction and truth, the novel also includes many
of her heartfelt poems, several of which were
inspired by the fact that she was
molested as a child.
Daddy's Favorite Pop, as one would
imagine, is raw, uncut and straight to
the point.

Antoinette Smith is a real life testament to the
fact that no matter who you are - male,
female, adult or child, it’s okay to write about
what you are going through in order to get it all out like she did.
"IT IS NOT GOOD TO KEEP THINGS
BALLED UP INSIDE. LET IT ALL OUT!!!!! I DID AND
LOOK WHERE I CAME FROM. YOU CAN DO AND BE WHOEVER
AND WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE."
